An added benefit to using Keeper at Swarthmore is you can also claim a free Family account through Keeper. This allows you to have a personal password manager and invite up to 5 others to also join Keeper as part of your Family plan. Each user will have their own vault and cannot see the contents of anyone else’s vault. You will be the plan manager, but that simply means that you manage who is a part of the Family plan.

  1. Login to Keeper with your Swarthmore account - keepersecurity.com/vault

  2. Click on your email in the top-right corner of the page

  3. Choose “Account

  4. A popup window with the “Subscription” section highlighted should appear

  5. In the “Keeper Family License for Personal Use” section of Subscription, click the link to redeem your Family account

  6. You will be asked to enter an email address - Choose the personal email you wish to use to set up the account

  7. You will be sent an email from Keeper (noreply@keepersecurity.com) with the subject “Keeper Security: Keeper Family License for Personal Use

  8. Open the email and click the “Verify email” button.

  9. This will take you to Keeper and allow you to set up a master password for your new account

  10. You now have a Family plan with Keeper!

Once you log in to your personal account, a popup will appear that walks you through setting up your account. One of the steps is to set up account recovery. It is extremely important that you do this. Keeper will not be able to assist you with account recovery, as they do not have any access to your local account information. Swarthmore is also unable to help you with personal account recovery.
