There are six 3D printers located at the MakerSpace in Whittier Hall 109 - 113. Five Ultimaker brand 3D printers, model 3 or S5, are designed to print in PLA plastic, a versatile plastic that comes in a number of colors. One Markforged Onyx Pro 3D printer is designed to print in a proprietary carbon fiber and nylon filament that can be reinforced with fiberglass for added strength, creating a part that can withstand a higher amount of stress than traditional plastic prints.

The Makerspace holds periodic Intro to 3D printing workshops each semester. If you are unable to attend one of our workshops, you can still visit the Makerspace and someone will be able to assist you with getting started with 3D printing. Please check the MakerSpace website for current hours.
