ITS has installed wireless projection capabilities in many classrooms around the campus.  This can be handy to reduce the amount of time needed to set up for a class, allow instructors to walk around the classroom while presenting, and permit students to project from their own laptops and mobile devices.  Presenting wirelessly via your own device also provides a relatively contact-free way of presenting.

There are two main systems in use: Apple TV and Mersive's Solstice Pod.

Mersive Solstice

Solstice is a new device that allows for wireless presentation from virtually any laptop, tablet or phone. To use Solstice, either go to to https://www.mersive.com/download/ from from your laptop or search for Solstice from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOs) to download the app. The user must be able to connect via Eduroam. Once connected, follow the on-screen instructions to start displaying. Solstice allows for up to four users to present simultaneously

Solstice Pods have  been installed in roughly half of the Learning Spaces around campus. To find out if Solstice is available in a room in which you teach or to schedule a tutorial, contact Classroom and Conferencing Technologies.
