Once your computer is on, make sure you do perform all available system updates. These are important to keep your computer running smoothly and securely. Macs Mac and Windows will automatically generally apply updates automatically as needed. Windows machines may prompt you to let you know You may also be prompted when updates are available, but you can also search for available updates by following .  To manually apply updates, follow the instructions below.

Windows:

  1. Click on "Start"
  2. Click "Settings"
  3. Choose "Update & Security"
  4. Click "Check for Updates"

Mac:  ITS currently supports macOS Catalina and macOS Big.

  1. Click on the "Apple Menu"
  2. Select "System Preferences"
  3. Click "Software Update" 

This will list all of the available updates, and give you the option to start the updating process. This may take a while and may require multiple restarts, so you can enjoy your coffee while you wait.
