Where are the 3D Printers?

There are 7 3D printers located at the MakerSpace in Beardsley Hall 102. The MakerSpace is is an interdisciplinary space on campus open to all students, faculty, and staff.

Where is it?

It is located in Beardsley Hall 101-102.

When is it open?

9 AM-7:30pm M-Thurs

9 AM-5:00 PM Friday

12:30-4:00  PM Saturday

12:30-7:30 PM Sunday

How do I use it?

Email rprigod1@swarthmore.edu or just drop by someone will be there to assist you.

What are the space and machines used for?

They can be used for personal projects or academic ones, but priority is given to classes and class projects.

Printing Tips

There are a variety of problems with an STL file that can causing printing problems.  Netfabb Basic has a good set of repair tools.  Run the repair and update the stats to make sure things look okay.  Then apply the repair.

The attached document has details about minimum geometry sizes, part shrinkage, and other useful details.
