About VPN

For security and privacy reasons, some computing resources are only available when on Swarthmore's campus network and not from any computer on the Internet.  Running Virtual Private Network (VPN) software allows users to access these resources when off-campus.  

Installation Instructions

For more information about VPN and detailed instructions visit Swarthmore's VPN and Off-Campus Access page.

To  download and install the VPN software directly go to the VPN site.

Troubleshooting

Windows 8

For Windows 8.1 error 'Failed to initialize connection subsystem', run in 'Windows 8 compatibility mode' (for more details see the post Cisco Anytime 'Failed to initialize connection subsystem' fix)
