Storage for faculty projects and class assignment turn in is through the MediaCenter storage array. Students needing storage for their class video projects should check out a portable hard drive from Media Services. Class instructors should have pre-arranged for such resources with the Media Services Manager (Michael Patterson) before the semester starts.
- To access the new array from a Mac: in the Go menu, type: smb://mediacenter.its.swarthmore.edu and navigate to the appropriate sub-section
- To access the new array from a Windows computer, in the Windows Explorer, type: \\mediacenter.garnet.swarthmore.edu (just \\mediacenter should work too!)
- Data access is managed through Windows permissions applied to individual class and research folders for both Mac and Windows clients (See Doug Willen)
