Hiding the Moodle grade course total

Some faculty use the gradebook in Moodle but do not use it to calculate the final grade or prefer not to show students their total grade before the end of the semester.  In these cases, it is useful to allow students to see grades for individual items or categories but hide the course total grade.  To hide the course total, follow the following procedure:

• From your main course page, click Grades (under course title)

• Select Gradebook Setup from the pulldown menu

• Scroll to the bottom of the grade setup table and click on the ... button
